Self Defence can be described as the act of defending oneself when physically attacked, as by countering blows or overcoming an assailant using a measure of physical voilence. But Self defence also extends to any act or instance of defending or protecting one's own interests, property, ideas, etc., as by argument or strategy.


It's important to note that self-defence is not all about being big, fit or strong. Your ability to protect yourself or family members is more about your awareness and overall skills to deal with threatening situations. And voilent aggression is not always the best response.
