Dublin Tomiki Aikido as a member of the British Aikido Association follows the grading regulations and examinations policy of the BAA

Grading Syllabus


 Junior Syllabus ( Ages 5 - 10) BAA Junior Syllabus
 Youth Syllabus  (Ages 10 - 16) BAA Youth Syllabus.
Adult Kyu Grade Syllabus (Ages 16+) BAA Kyu Grade Syllabus (up to brown belt)
Dan Grade Syllabus  BAA Dan Grade Syllabi  (1st - 7th Dan)

B.A.A. National Course gradings are recognised by the B.A.A. and J.A.A.. Certification is available both from the UK and Japan
B.A.A. issues British Aikido Board (BAB) licenses on behalf of its members

BAA National Courses and Grading Venues 

BAA Kyu and Dan gradings are held at six approved National courses every year. Only Dan gradings achieved under the BAA syllabus at these venues will now be automatically approved by the BAA. We are proud to host one of the schools each year in either Dublin or Belfast. Our Instructors and some members regularly travel to at least two other BAA schools every year.

  • BAA Spring School North – March – Sheffield
  • BAA Spring School Ireland – April – Belfast/Dublin
  • BAA Spring School West – May – Winchester
  • BAA Summer School – July – Leeds
  • BAA Autumn School – November – Herne Bay
  • BAA Winter School  – February - TBA
